I was born and raised in New York City to an artist mother and dentist father. After a brief stint as a graphic designer and cook, there was a long career as a composer, sound designer, and producer for music houses in New York, Minneapolis, and Los Angeles. After many years in the music business it was time to leave the industry so I could pursue my interest in mindfulness and psychotherapy.

Higher education includes a Bachelor of Science in communications from Boston University, with minors in music and philosophy, a Master of Arts in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica and a second Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Depth Psychotherapy from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara. Along the way there was a one-year certification in Analytical Psychology at the C.G. Jung Institute of Los Angeles.

And years of learnings from two masterful teachers in Buddhism and Jungian Analysis; Bob Campbell and Joe McNair.
